It’s no secret that I have a thing for neutrals. I’ve always felt that there’s no reason to reserve bright white, cream, taupe and beige for warmer months. The effortlessly elegant combination of soft neutrals can be just as suitable in the middle of winter. And, if done right, the absence of colour can be anything but plain.
The trick is to layer pieces with texture. The intricate weave of the knit hat, the faux fur pom, the ribbing of the top, the distressing on the denim, the studding along the back of the booties – all these elements combine for a soft, creamy palette brimming with detail. A look I’ve been wearing on repeat all winter long.
