When we set out for the Toronto Christmas Market at dusk the other evening, it had begun to snow softly, so I knew that a warm coat and cozy turtleneck sweater were the way to go. And this grey one from Anthropologie is so incredibly comfy and soft! Thankfully, I also chose my toasty winter boots, in place of a pair of booties, and took a wide brim hat, because it turned into quite a heavy snowfall when we arrived there. Can you tell how snow-covered my hat is?
The Distillery District is already a quaint and pretty part of the city, but place a Christmas market in the centre of it, and it’s kind of perfect. There was something truly magical about strolling through the market, watching the snow falling, seeing the twinkling Christmas lights, hearing the familiar carols, and smelling all the delicious scents from the vendors’ treats. And a warm pretzel was a fitting sendoff for the snowy ride home.
